Share Trading Online
Whilst many are aware of the increasing popularity of share trading online and are looking to trade themselves, they are sometimes unaware of the different types of trading available. These are briefly discussed below.
Arguably the hardest form of trading shares online is day trading. This form of trading is very fast paced and often involves a large number of trades every day. In this situation, it is imperative that all emotion is left at the door and trades are only executed based on hard analysis. Profits can be very quick, but so can losses if you’re not careful.
Swing and position trading online
Swing trading involves watching a stock over a period of weeks or months before making a trade. Someone interested in online trading with this technique would take time to study a company’s financial and industry forecasts while also studying the movement of the stock and applying fundamental and technical analysis to try to accurately predict future movement. This is ideal for those without the time to make this a full time job.
Position trading involves holding onto stocks for a longer period of time waiting for changes in the market and using fundamental and technical analysis. This longer term strategy is ideal for those who are short of time.
